| Indexing Knowing a subject well will improve the quality of a book's index. Having a good-quality index can make a difference in sales of a book as potential buyers look up things there to see what the book has to offer. If you are the author of a book that would benefit from indexing by a person with expertise in psychology, sociology, or peace studies, I have a Ph.D. in Psychology with a minor in Sociology; see my curriculum vitae. If your publisher is expecting you to do the index and you have better uses of your time, you can hire me for the task. I specialize in quick turnaround during the school year, and slower but still speedy turnaround in the summer. My charge is normally $3.00 per page, depending on the size of the page. To see examples of my work, I indexed my own authored books: MacNair, R. M. (2003). The Psychology of Peace: An Introduction. Westport, CT: Praeger. MacNair, R. M. (2002). Perpetration-Induced Traumatic Stress: The Psychological Consequences of Killing. Westport, CT: Praeger. For more information or to make arrangements: Rachel M.
